I just love these socks! Kew comes in only one size and it’s MY size! (See my previous progress post for the details.) Knitting socks for small feet usually means having a lot of yarn left over. This project took about 66 grams of the 100 grams or 140 meters of the 210 meters of this sock yarn. I could, in theory, make one more sock out of the leftovers. But, instead, I see endless possibilities in baby socks or maybe stash busting combo yarn socks!

This was a nice break from small needles and sock yarn. I used two strands of worsted weight acrylic yarn (about 3oz total) and a pair of size 13 Clover Circular Bamboo needles, 16″ long. I heard that Grace is feeling better today. Hope this will keep her warm in the days to come.

Cast on 60 stitches. join and knit in the round until 5 inches long uncurled.

Cut yarn leaving 6 inch tail and thread through the remaining stitches.
Draw the stitches together and weave the tail to the inside of the hat.
The finished hat has a 22″ circumference and measures 9 ” from top to bottom.
